Ussa, issa, ussa, issa…mi tolčemo, se veselimo, smejemo,…, preklinjamo, se jezimo, obupujemo,… mi tolčemo, se veselimo, smejemo, pojemo…, preklinjamo, se jezimo, obupujemo,… mi »izravnavamo plohu« – izravnavamo ploskev.

Spoznavamo osnovna kamnoseška orodja in se učimo prvih kamnoseških korakov. Izravnava ploskve je postopek, pri katerem surovemu kosu kamnu izravnamo ploskev. Postopek je prvo opravilo, ki ga opravimo na kamnu, ko ga iz kamnoloma »privlečemo« v delavnico.  Potek izravnave ploskve začnemo s poravnavanjem robov ploskve. Pri tem opravilu si pomagamo z odbijačem in našo najboljšo prijateljico macolo. Sledi faza pri kateri površino grobo ravnamo s »piketom« ter špico in seveda macolo. Svoje delo preverjamo s kotnikom in letvijo. Ko površino grobo obdelamo, sledi faza ravnanja s »krempačem«. Na koncu površino poravnamo še z zobatim kladivom (bočardo).

Ni tako enostavno, predvsem pa je bolj utrujajoče in boleče, kot pisanje tega bloga. Še sreča da so nam za strokovno in moralno oporo naši profesorji in mojstri iz srednje klesarska šole. Brez njih bi orodje kmalu odfrčalo v morje, naše riti pa na pivo.
