Under pressure

Zadnja dva delovna dneva sta potekala pod silnim pritiskom. Sredin tornado je dobro prevetril in pretresel dosedanje delo.

Študentje so morali svoje delo predstaviti  v drugačni luči in sprejeti drugačen pristop in način dela. Morali so se povezati, bolje sodelovati v skupini, razmišljati dizajnersko, tržno in loviti skrajne roke za oddajo izdelkov in predstavitev. Skratka, znašli so se v dandanes zelo pogosti življenjski situaciji. Stres, pritisk, panika, brezizhodno, ne morem več, zakaj, to je nesmiselno, če bi imeli več časa…Lahko bi obupali, vendar niso! Spopadli so se s  številnimi »ego: ego« soočenji ali celo trki, s komunikacijskimi interferencami, s padcem IKT podpore, z dvomi vase in v svoje izdelke.

In dobesedno je za dežjem posijalo sonce. V petkovo popoldne so se zopet naselili nasmehi, zabavne pripombe in olajšanje. Zaradi delovne vneme, smo zaključek projekta prestavili kar za celo uro in na koncu navdušeno zaploskali vsem predstavljenim izdelkom.

Po predstavitvi smo se odpeljali v Gornji Humac, si ogledali Jakšićevo galerijo http://www.drazen-jaksic.hr/?lang=hr&page=content&num=13 in si privoščili zadnjo večerjo v odlični restavraciji.

Odločili smo se, da takoj po večerji pospravimo delavnico in učilnico in naslednje jutro lovimo trajekt ob 10.30. Po štirinajstih dneh se zagotovo pojavi tudi domotožje.

In na koncu slovo. Objemi, naslovi, poljubi, obljube…spletejo se trdne vezi, iščejo se nove možnosti sodelovanja in nastajajo zasnove za nove skupne projekte. Še se bomo srečali, še bomo sodelovali in ostali bomo prijatelji z različnimi pogledi in različnimi pristopi

The last two days of our program were held under mighty pressure. The Wednesday’s  tornado has blown and shaken the current work .

Students were asked to present their work in a different way by using different approaches and ways of working. They had to connect better in a group, activate design and marketing oriented thinking and catching deadlines for the submission of products  and presentations. In short, they found themselves in nowadays very common life situation. Stress, pressure, panic, feeling hopeless , “I can not do it!” , “Why?” , “Where is the point?”, “If only we had more time!” …  They all could have given up, but they didn’t!! They faced a number of ” ego : ego ” confrontations or even collisions, communication interferences, the breakdown of ICT support, lack of self confidence and confidence in their final products.
And literally the sun came out of rain . And with the sun also smiles, funny comments and finally relief. Due to the working enthusiasm, the final act of  the project was postponed for one hour but at the end we all applauded to final presentations of our mixed groups..

After the presentation we drove to Gornji Humac , viewed Jakšić gallery (http://www.drazen-jaksic.hr/?lang=hr&page=content&num=13) and enjoyed the last supper in the excellent restaurant.
We decided to collect our equipment, clear up the workshop, the studio and the classroom immediately after dinner, to prepare everything for departure and try to catch the 10.30 morning ferry. After fourteen days somebody can feel  homesick .

And at the end the farewell . Hugs , addresses , kisses , promises … strong bonds of friendship, planes for new opportunities of collaboration and already developed concepts for new joint projects. We’ll meet again, we will cooperate and we will remain friends with different views and different approaches .
